Wattiya is an online reading and writing platform where users can create accounts and publish user-generated content. Users may request deletion of personal data associated with their account. Requests are handled in line with applicable privacy requirements and platform policies.
2. What Data Can Be Deleted
A data deletion request may include deletion of:
- Account information (for example, login identifiers and account settings)
- Profile data (for example, display name, profile picture, bio)
- Stories and other content created by the user
- Activity data associated with the account (for example, interactions and usage-related records)
3. How to Request Data Deletion
Send an email to contact@wattiya.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”.
- Required information: your registered email address and your Wattiya username
- Optional information: a brief description of what you want deleted (account only, or account + published content)

If an in-app deletion option is available in your version of Wattiya, you may use it to request deletion. If you do not see this option, please use the email method above.
4. Processing Time
We aim to process data deletion requests within 7–14 days. In some cases, processing may take longer (for example, if additional verification is required or if the request is complex).
5. Important Notes
- Some information may be retained where required by law or legitimate operational needs.
- Deleted data cannot be recovered.
- Removing content may affect published stories and how they appear to other users.
